Representatives of 15 territorial communities from all over Ukraine visited NOVO

08.04.2025

On April 7, 2025, at the initiative and with the support of long-term partners of the Institution - KZ LOR "House of the Warrior" and the First Women's Veteran Space "Rehab" - representatives of 15 territorial communities from all corners of Ukraine visited the NOVO Medical Center.

The guests were informed about the beginning of the Medical Center's activities, its development, charitable initiatives, and the expansion of its capacity for collaboration by Oleksandr Maksymchuk - President of the Association of Ukrainian Philanthropists, Chairman of the NOVO Supervisory Board, and Taras Lysak - Director of the Center.

The guests familiarized themselves with the diagnostic equipment of the Charitable Foundation "Center for Medical Innovations" and received detailed information about the operating principles of magnetic resonance and computed tomography scanners, ultrasound diagnostic devices, equipment for endoscopic examinations, and more.

During the visit, special attention was paid to the directions of the NOVO Medical Center's charitable activities, which the Institution has adhered to for nearly 11 years. Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Center has expanded its efforts in providing free and discounted examinations to socially vulnerable groups:

internally displaced persons from conflict zones and other regions of Ukraine;
combat veterans and war veterans;
servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine undergoing treatment in military hospitals in Lviv;
servicemen undergoing rehabilitation at Centers partnering with the NOVO Medical Center;
family members of military personnel missing under special circumstances, etc.

The experience of exchanging ideas on the creation and operation of a space for providing medical diagnostic assistance to all who need it is extremely valuable for NOVO. Support for communities and practical models of interaction with veterans and their families are particularly relevant now, as the effectiveness of joint work primarily depends on the practical implementation of technological processes that aid Ukrainians in rehabilitation and swift recovery.

The long-term charitable activities of the NOVO Medical Center serve as a vivid example of coordinated efforts in shaping a healthy future for Ukraine.

The event was organized with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine and financial backing from the European Union, provided within the framework of the project “EU4Recovery - Empowering Communities in Ukraine.”
