NOVO Medical Center's official response to the language dispute with the blogger

Assistance to the military, NOVO cooperation with the military hospital in Lviv, NOVO Medical Center

In connection with the dissemination on social media of information about a telephone conversation between blogger Oleksiy Myronenko and an administrator of the NOVO Medical Center, the institution's management conducted an internal investigation. The audio recording of the conversation and the circumstances of the situation were examined.

Following the results of the inspection, the administration of the Institution has formulated an official position.

The NOVO Medical Center operates in full compliance with the requirements of current Ukrainian legislation, in particular the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language” and other regulatory acts that govern the use of the state language in the field of serving the population. The actions of the employee were carried out within the framework of the Center’s internal regulations and policies and in accordance with existing legal norms. Ukrainian legislation does not oblige employees of healthcare institutions to understand or communicate in any language other than the state language, much less in the language of the aggressor state.

The management of the NOVO Medical Center pays special attention to compliance with professional ethics and standards of communication with patients, ensuring respect for dignity, non-discrimination, and a high level of service. The institution maintains its reputation as a reliable and responsible medical center, open to constructive dialogue with patients and the public, while providing high-quality medical care in accordance with Ukrainian legislation and its own standards.
