NOVO Medical Center joined the creation of the film "Flags in the Wind" by the European Movement UK. The film crew from Great Britain visited Ukraine, particularly Lviv, to tell the stories of people whose lives have been forever changed by the war in Ukraine.
These are primarily the stories of those who have lost someone or something incredibly important, yet have not broken. Those who are learning to live again, help others, build their future, and believe.
At the center of the film are true heroes of today: doctors, servicemen, internally displaced persons, officials, and children who had to grow up to the sounds of air raid sirens. Each of them is part of a great story about the courage, love, and resilience of Ukrainians.
Iryna Denisenko, an endocrinologist at NOVO Medical Center, also became a heroine of the film "Flags in the Wind." In the film, she shared her own experience of experiencing loss and the daily internal victories that have made up her family's life in Lviv for over 3.5 years.
We sincerely thank the initiator of the filming, Olha Huzhva, a journalist, media expert, and member of the NOVO advisory board, whose life was divided into "before" and "after" by the war. In the film, Olha's daughter, schoolgirl Veronika, speaks with an unspeakable adult pain about her own very young experiences related to the need to leave their home in Kharkiv.
There are millions of such stories. The memory of them will be reflected in the heart of every Ukrainian for many centuries at the slightest mention of these difficult times.
On October 20, 2025, the director of NOVO Medical Center, Taras Lysak, and the head of the marketing and communications department, Yulia Huriy, received a brochure with words of support and gratitude for the spirit and resilience in the face of war from the people of Great Britain, which was presented to the Center by Olha Huzhva. We thank everyone who shares the pain of Ukrainians and supports them in the struggle for freedom and independence!
Since the start of the full-scale invasion of our land by the aggressor country, the team of NOVO Medical Center has provided almost 16,000 examinations to various categories of people — internally displaced persons, combatants, patients of Lviv military hospitals, family members of missing servicemen, etc. — within the framework of all charitable programs for socially vulnerable segments of the population. We believe that our contribution, like the contribution of millions of Ukrainians, is continuously bringing the common Victory closer.
The film "Flags in the Wind" is about pain and hope. Thank you for the support to the organizers of the filming and the people of Great Britain, who are actively helping our fellow citizens get through difficult times! We are confident that these stories will touch the hearts of viewers around the world and remind them: the strength of Ukraine is in its people.
